5 Must-Have Apps for Interior Design Lovers

Design amateur enthusiasts and professionals have many reasons to be happy. With the number of design applications constantly increasing, they have gotten new aides for the trade. From simple ones that provide general information and sample photos, via more complex apps that measure the dimensions of your room, to those super-advanced applications that even give you personalized recommendations for your specific projects. Here is a list of some of the best currently available apps:

1. Coloursnap

Paint brand Sherman-Williams released an iPhone and Android application that will help you match colors in your interior. All you have to do is take a photo of a dominant object in your room, such as a leather couch, for example, zoom in the photo, and tap on the couch. The application will then analyse the color of the selected object and offer you two secondary colors that go with it perfectly. Then you can decide if you want to use these colors to paint the walls, or go shopping for cushions. Another way in which the app can help you is to use the shade inventory and redecorate virtual rooms to find a color combination that you like.

2. Houzz

Scroll through hundreds of design related stories and reviews, DIY tutorials, and remodeling ideas, share your photos with others, ask for a piece of advice from the Houzz community, raise a topic on the discussion board – all this with just one mobile application. Once you have found a photo or idea that you like, you can save it in your Ideabook for future reference. Houzz app is also a rich source of home design products, from décor items to pieces of furniture, which you can buy directly through the app. Use the app to find the best interior designers in your area.
