How to Beat The January Blues

I think we all feel the January blues at some point... Too much over indulgence during the Christmas period, the warmth of being around family and friends at Christmas and new year, and suddenly you are thrust back to reality, back to work and back to routine.
It's depressing...
Here are a few things I like to do in the quieter months to make myself happy!

Cook more.
After all the Christmas parties, one of the best things about January is that you don't have to feel bad about staying in! If you want to socialise, invite some friends over, cook something delicious together and have a dinner party! This will also save you some money compared to a night out at a bar or restaurant if you finances are a little tight.

Read.
I work in events at the moment, so I have hardly had any free time over the Christmas period! January means I finally get some time for myself, and I can't wait to get stuck into a good book! If anyone has any recommendations let me know if the comments :)

Pamper yourself.
Hot baths are my favourite way to feel pampered! Maybe a nice face mask... some candles... This week Amara sent me the Neom happiness travel candle, and the intensive stress relief treatment, which is a rollerball scent made with relaxing essential oils that you rub onto your pulse points, it smells gorgeous!
Make a Fresh Start.
Something bothering you? Your job, your love life or your finances? January is a great time for change, as it always feels like a fresh start! Start a new hobby, get a new job, travel, but whatever you do make sure that you are doing it for yourself, and that it will help you grow as a person. This year I am planning to take my blog to the next level, as well as starting an online shop, so fingers crossed!

What are your new years resolutions?
