Halloween Accessories and Tableware

It's almost Halloween, yay! Halloween is probably one of my favourite days of the year, I love getting dressed up as scary as possible and decorating for halloween parties! In this post I'm not going to show you the usual halloween party decor. I know that everyone knows how to carve a nice pumpkin, and hang up a cobweb. Obviously the pumpkins and cobwebs are essential for a spooky party, but I'm going to share with you some little touches that will add some sophisticated glamour to your halloween house party!

1. Skulls. There is something about skulls that will always be chic, they are a little too creepy for the kids, so they make perfect accessories for an adults halloween party! These prints aren't expensive, and they would be easy to pop into your existing picture frames for the evening. The skull ornament would make a perfect accessory or centrepiece for the drinks table.

2. Candles. Turn the lights down and use candles instead. They will give the room a perfect atmospheric creepy glow! I love these skull candles, I'm not sure I would want to burn them...

3. Tableware and Drinks. We are adults, so NO paper cups! These beautiful cut glass wine glasses, shot glasses, and decanter are by John Rocha, and they have the perfect creepy glamour vibe you need for halloween. If you will be using straws, use these striped paper straws by Talking tables. You can add a little more glamour and colour to the table with these gold lace napkins. For drinks go for black vodka, and to add a little something special you can choose Crystal Skull vodka, which will also make a great centrepiece for the table!

4. Costumes. This is the best part! Choose your costume well and make an effort with the details, you will feel great on the night if you have put in the effort! If you are ordering your costume or accessories online, remember to order well in advance, you don't want a panic on the day that your costume hasn't been delivered! This year I am dressing as a nun, as the halloween party I am going to is called "Monastery of Sound" so it will be monks and nuns!

What will you be dressing up as this year for Halloween?

  1. These are awesome ideas! I especially like the colorful skull because I feel we can have it out all year long out or at least just for fall season.

    1. Thanks Nathaly! I love the skull for the same reason, I would definitely keep it out all year, it's like a work of art! Thanks for reading :)

  2. Interior designing can be really fun especially when its your first time doing it. It can be a trial and error process at times but when you get the hang of it it will come naturally
