If you have any tips of your own, please tweet me @EMInteriorD or share them in the comments, I would love to hear them!
1. Wake up early
I have definitely found that mornings are my most productive time. I find it best to set an alarm and stick to it- keeping to a routine helps me to sleep better at night too!
2 .Get dressed
It might be tempting to stay in your pyjamas seeing as you're at home and everything, but getting dressed will make you feel more like you're in 'work' mode, particularly if you wear something that makes you feel like a #girlboss
3. Eat healthily
Make sure you have a healthy breakfast and lunch. Eating junk food will only make you tired and less productive over the rest of the day.
4. Plan your day
I love lists! Write yourself a checklist of the things you want to do today, and tick them off one by one as you complete each task. This also gives you a nice sense of achievement once you have completed a task, and again when you have completed the list!
5. Exercise
When you don't have a commute, it can be easy to forget to go outside and get your daily dose of Vitamin D. I have recently taken up running, so in the afternoon when I'm starting to feel a bit tired, it's great to go outside and get some fresh air and exercise. If running's not your thing, then maybe go for a walk in the park, to the gym or for a swim to get your blood flowing! When you sit back down to work afterwards you will feel awake and motivated again
6. Venture out
If you are starting to get a bit tired of being at home all the time, why not try a change of scenery? Fine a cute local coffee shop with fast wifi, and for the price of a cup of coffee (or two) you can have a cool new workplace for the afternoon! Sometimes it's nice to have the buzz and background noise that you only get from being in a public space, and it's always nice to check out other local business's!
7. Network and Socialise
It can sometimes get a little lonely working from home, so make sure you make time in the week to meet friends for coffee or lunch. It's great to meet other people who are self employed and work from home as you can share business tips as well as catch up on the gossip! Business networking is another great way so get social, whilst promoting your business at the same time! There are always business networking events happening, so see what's local to you and get signed up!
Great tips! Sometimes I find it hard to stop and say "that's enough for today" and end up working till late. How do you deal with this situation? "completing the list" does not work in my case :)

Hi Karolis,
DeleteI can end up working late if I'm really into a project, but I try to have a cut off time, normally the time my boyfriend gets home from work is a good time for me to stop working and relax. If you are working late regularly and it's making you stressed then you should give yourself a strict finish time, and set an alarm for it, HOWEVER- If you are loving the work and you are not stressed then there is no harm in working late sometimes :) as long as you are happy!
